To support local manufacturing growth, US occupational health business Concentra has launched a new medical facility in Goodyear, Arizona.

The new centre will provide occupational health services to the construction, distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, transportation and logistics sectors.

“The West Valley continues to see significant growth across a range of industries, and access to occupational health services is an important part of supporting that workforce,” says Dr. Scott Cole, Senior Vice President of Medical Operations at Concentra.

  • drug testing
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals
  • pre-placement exams
  • medical surveillance programmes.

Staff will also be able to use Concentra HUB, a digital platform focused on streamlining injury management alongside effective communication.

Manufacturing in Arizona

More than 20 companies have manufacturing operations in Goodyear, according to the local economic development office, including Ball Corporation and Huhtamaki.

Ball's beverage packaging factory has four lines that can produce 20,000 cans per minute.

Huhtamaki produces packaging like cups and food containers in the city which are distributed across the country.

In 2025, GTI Fabrication announced a US$53m investment in the area for a new facility to produce mission-critical equipment in the renewable energy and data centre sectors. This includes raw steel processing, welding, electrical integration, battery installation and end-of-line testing.

In April 2026, ViaWest Group acquired 53.1 acres of land at Camelback Road and Loop 303. It is preparing this site for up to 900,000 square feet of build-to-suit industrial and manufacturing space.
