Manufacturing has seen a host of CEO appointments in April, alongside the career move of a CFO who has steered the finances of a host of global manufacture

Aurecon, an international design and engineering leader, has announced the appointment of Gabe Carter as its new Chief Executive for Asia.

Gabe will be joining Aurecon’s Group Executive Leadership Team and will relocate from Thailand to Singapore to oversee the company’s operations across nine locations.

The appointment marks a key moment in the company’s strategy to drive continued growth across the Asian region. Gabe takes over from Stephane Asselin, who will move into the role of Senior Advisor at Aurecon. In his new position, Stephane will continue to contribute to the company by focusing on client management and strategic market development in Asia Pacific.

Under Stephane’s leadership, Aurecon Asia has experienced significant growth, expanding its services, gaining market share, and growing its workforce from 700 to 2,100 people, alongside establishing a Global Design Centre in Vietnam and a Shared Services Centre in Manila. The company’s sales, revenue, and profitability have also nearly tripled during his tenure.

Gabe joined Aurecon in 2003 after graduating from the University of New South Wales and has held various leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Managing Director for Vietnam and Thailand, leading a team of 700. His extensive experience and deep understanding of Asia’s market dynamics position him well to lead Aurecon’s next phase of growth in the region.
