Hitachi Digital & Singtel: Accelerating Industrial AI

Hitachi Digital Services
The collaboration to advance industrial AI solutions pairs Hitachi’s AI expertise with Singtel’s Paragon platform for Cloud, 5G and Edge Computing

Hitachi Digital has partnered with Singtel, a leading communications technology group in Asia to develop and advance Industrial AI solutions.

The partnership utilises Singtel’s Paragon platform, an all-in-one orchestration platform for edge computing, 5G and cloud, which will be deployed by Hitachi Digital at the Hitachi Americas’ Santa Clara R&D Labs.

The Paragon Platform will also be used in a pilot in a U.S. factory of industry 4.0 use cases.

This testing will foster further integration between Hitachi Industry cloud applications and Paragon, allowing enterprises to evolve beyond low-latency connectivity and productivity experiences.

A leader in AI and machine learning, Hitachi Digital continually strives to redesign and reengineer industrial processes through advanced technologies.

Frank Antonysamy, Chief Growth Officer, Hitachi Digital

“Hitachi has invested heavily in combining decades of digital, data, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, and connectivity expertise to establish transformative solutions for Industry Cloud deployments” says Frank Antonysamy, Chief Growth Officer, Hitachi Digital.

“ Our applications and consulting services in this area have been an integral part of the digitalization movement impacting businesses around the world.

"We anticipate that this partnership with Singtel will enable us to once again increase the capabilities of next gen technologies in enterprise environments, enabling a new level of productivity for customers.”

Complex and fragmented solutions have left many organisations struggling with industrial 5G deployments.

AI has added additional complexity as organisations strive to enhance AI adoption in these situations.

Singtel Paragon enables organisations to connect with the 5G network and securely deploy AI and edge computing on telco infrastructure, heightening innovation and shortening time-to-market.

Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel’s Digital InfraCo

“Enterprises in the fast-growing Industry 4.0 sector depend on high quality, reliable connectivity to ensure smooth operations,” adds Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel’s Digital InfraCo.

“We are pleased to collaborate with Hitachi Digital, leveraging Paragon to manage its connectivity and cloud needs across Hitachi’s manufacturing facilities. Integrating Hitachi’s advanced AI applications with Paragon’s ecosystem will enhance our suite of solutions for manufacturing enterprises and enable them to seamlessly transform their operations powered by AI.”

The pilot using Paragon will endeavour to validate the performance of Hitachi AI applications on workplace safety, predictive maintenance, quality assurance and immersive training.

Hitachi’s existing Industrial AI applications will be harnessed to create several Paragon-related offerings to elevate customers' cloud operations.

Hitachi Digital Services will bring these offerings to market as the Singtel Paragon authorised System Integrator.

This integrator will enable enterprise customers to leverage diverse network protocols to deliver industrial digital transformation.

The partnership between Hitachi and Sintel will expertly deliver interoperable solutions to organisations seeking to address industrial AI complexity.
