With the passing of Ratan Tata, former Chairperson of the Tata Sons and Tata Trusts, his half-brother Noel Tata has been appointed the new Chairman of Tata Trusts. 

Tata Trusts, the influential philanthropic arm of India’s Tata Group, holds 66% of Tata Sons, which gives him significant control of the US$165bn conglomerate, Tata Group.

The Tata Group oversees 30 firms across automotive, aviation and consumer goods, including manufacturers Starbucks, Jaguar Land Rover and Tetley Tea. 

Noel Tata has over 40 years of experience and the enthusiastic support of the board.

A seasoned leader within the Tata Group, he expressed his honor and responsibility in taking on this role.

He emphasized his commitment to upholding the legacy of Ratan Tata and the founding values of the Trusts, which have been instrumental in addressing critical social challenges in India.
