Job To: Vice president, Global Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer, Rockwell Automation

Rockwell Automation has announced that Brian Hovey will be its next Vice President, Global Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer.

Moving from his role of Vice President, Sales Excellence, Safety and Productivity Solutions at Honeywell, Brian will be responsible for the global marketing of Rockwell’s full solutions portfolio.

This comes at a critical time for the company as it creates diverse solutions that harness the power of Industry 4.0 to better serve manufacturers. Connecting with these manufacturers through meaningful, tailored marketing will be key to Rockwell Automation’s competitive future.

With more than 25 years of global leadership experience, Brian will oversee this process, managing analyst relations, demand generation, marketing communications and commercial marketing.

Prior to Honeywell, Brian has held multiple marketing leadership roles across the manufacturing industry, including at Dell Technologies. Brian spent 14 years at Dell, where he drove growth and marketing transformation for the company’s B2B business.

Brian is also an advisory board member for Aviso AI, delivering executive leadership advice and oversight on the company’s commercial strategy, product offerings and capabilities.

With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA in marketing from the University of Michigan, Brian understands the challenges manufacturers face today and is well placed to market Rockwell Automation’s solutions to them.

“Brian brings deep expertise leading transformation and growth opportunities across sales and marketing,” says Scott Genereux, Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer, Rockwell Automation.

“As a customer-focused, global executive with a record of delivering results, his expertise in developing differentiated business and go-to-market strategies will be a great fit for this team.”
