People Moves: Kevin Braun

Kevin Braun has been appointed Senior Vice President of Operations at PPG Industries, effective October 1, 2024. This transition marks a significant milestone in Braun’s distinguished career with PPG, which spans over three decades. Having joined the company in 1991 as a production engineer, Braun has held numerous leadership roles across PPG’s industrial coatings, raw materials, and architectural segments.

His extensive experience across global markets equips him well for this critical role in overseeing and enhancing PPG's operational strategies worldwide.

Braun’s appointment aligns with PPG's commitment to strengthening its global operations and advancing its growth initiatives. 

Tim Knavish, PPG's Chairman and CEO, praised Braun’s proven leadership and vision, expressing confidence in his ability to drive operational excellence and contribute to the company’s strategic goals. 

Braun succeeds Ram Vadlamannati, who has retired after a long and impactful career at PPG, where he significantly advanced the company’s manufacturing and supply chain capabilities.

In his new position, Braun will focus on streamlining operations, enhancing efficiency, and supporting PPG’s sustainability goals. His leadership is expected to play a key role in delivering innovative solutions and maintaining PPG’s position as a global leader in paints, coatings, and specialty materials. 

This transition underscores PPG's dedication to fostering leadership talent and its focus on operational excellence as a cornerstone of its long-term strategy​.
