People Moves: Thierry Piéton

Thierry Piéton has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at healthcare manufacturer Medtronic.

He will be responsible for leading the company’s global finance organisation, as well as key supporting functions including treasury, tax, controllership, financial planning and analysis, audit, investor relations, corporate strategy, business development and portfolio management. As a member of Medtronic’s Executive Committee, Thierry will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and driving growth for the company.

Before joining Medtronic, Thierry served as Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Leadership Team at Renault Group, where he held various senior leadership roles. His extensive career also includes leadership positions at Nissan Motor Co. Ltd, General Electric, GE Healthcare and PwC, providing him with broad experience in regulated manufacturing industries.

Thierry holds a degree from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Lyon (EM Lyon Business School) and has furthered his education through executive programmes at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. His diverse experience and academic credentials make him well-equipped to lead Medtronic’s Finance organisation and contribute to the company’s ongoing success.
