P&G: 11 Years of Manufacturing Supply Chain Excellence

Every year, Gartner recognises the top-performing companies in global supply chain management with its Supply Chain Top 25.
This list highlights businesses that consistently deliver outstanding supply chain performance.
Among these, the Masters category distinguishes those with sustained excellence, notably those who consistently rank in the top five over at least seven of the past 10 years.
In 2025, this includes global giants Amazon, Apple, Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Unilever, who have retained their positions as leaders in supply chain management.
P&G's inclusion in this esteemed category underscores its 11th time earning the coveted Masters status.
Luc Reynaert, Chief Product Supply Officer at P&G, shared his thoughts on this achievement via LinkedIn, stating: “Procter & Gamble has earned a place on Gartner's Supply Chain Masters list for the 11th year. This kind of consistency reflects our mindset for delivering growth and innovation through our Supply 3.0 strategy.”
Understanding Gartner’s Masters category
The Masters category is distinct from the annual Top 25, rewarding long-term excellence rather than year-on-year performance fluctuations.
To be considered for this title, a company must demonstrate top-five performance in at least seven out of the last 10 years.
Evaluations consider peer and expert opinions, financial metrics such as revenue and cash conversion, ESG factors and innovation levels.
In 2025, Gartner recognised Schneider Electric as the top performer for the third consecutive year, with NVIDIA climbing to second.
The Masters entities—Amazon, Apple, P&G and Unilever—are evaluated separately from the Top 25, showcasing their leading roles in shaping supply chain strategies worldwide.
P&G’s path to supply chain master
P&G's continued prowess in supply chain management can be attributed to several core components, including innovation, digital integration and a corporate culture that prioritises data-driven decision-making.
The Supply Chain 3.0 strategy emphasises scale, adaptability and total system integration, forming the backbone of P&G’s approach.
The strategy is operationalised daily by over 65,000 team members, who, according to Luc, are committed to “driving progress and managing complexity with discipline and energy.”
By leveraging automated planning systems and integrated networks, P&G reduces manual interventions, enhances product flow and uses real-time data to anticipate demand effectively, enhancing its partnership with retail clients.
The company’s maturity in supply chain operations continues to receive praise from Gartner: “P&G maintains high supply chain maturity with its ongoing innovation, ecosystem collaborations, strong digital enablement, and a culture designed to support analytics, decision making and organisational alignment.”
The company's strategies are encapsulated within its Supply Chain 3.0 framework, focused on retail execution, productivity, value creation and constructive disruption, all driven by an empowered and agile organisation.
Harnessing AI, automation and collaborative efforts
P&G’s commitment to digital transformation extends beyond traditional systems, with a strong focus on AI. By pioneering the use of agentic AI and autonomous operations, the company enhances real-time decision-making capabilities while minimising manual processes.
This enables agile responses to global market changes, ensuring product availability across regions.
Luc explains that the AI system “responds quickly, scales globally, and ensures our quality products are always available to consumers whenever and wherever they shop.”
According to Gartner, P&G’s strong foundation in automation supports its continued evolution towards a comprehensive supply chain model.
This outlook goes beyond internal efficiencies, emphasising collaboration across P&G’s entire ecosystem, including engagement with retail and logistics partners.
Sustainability and productivity goals feature prominently in their strategy, further reinforcing their leadership in supply chain management.
P&G's reliance on digital tools, rapid execution and global product availability is fundamental to its enduring success in the Masters category.
