Impact on manufacturing operations

With a surging demand for intelligent AI applications across industries, manufacturing companies face the challenge of deploying AI responsibly at scale.

The role of data centres becomes crucial in supporting the AI journey by providing high-performance computing infrastructure necessary for such advancements.

Data centres facilitate AI model training and operations by offering GPUs capable of supporting intensive manufacturing processes.

As demand increases, companies like Dell Technologies are in a strategic position to assist partners in overcoming AI deployment hurdles.

A Dell survey highlights that 82% of organisations report seeing substantial returns from AI initiatives, but many struggle with scaling these technologies, with 93% encountering integration challenges.

Each lab is powered by:
  • Dell PowerEdge R760 servers with dual NVIDIA Hopper GPUs
  • NVIDIA BlueField-3 DPU
  • NVIDIA Spectrum-X networking
  • High-performance Dell PowerScale F210 storage
  • NVIDIA AI Enterprise software stack

Addressing these challenges, Dell AI Labs offers a secure environment for testing, validating and optimising AI models tailored for the manufacturing industry, ultimately facilitating AI adoption while minimising risk.

A vital component within AI Labs is Agentic RAG, which enables real-time data retrieval and decision-making crucial for manufacturing efficiency.

It operates on Dell's AI Factory with Nvidia and supports the integration of data, enhancing decision-making and enabling versatile operations across manufacturing sectors.

“AI is reshaping every industry, and the future will be defined by how quickly we can bring innovation from lab to real-world application,” said Anthony Hills, Director – Enterprise Business – UK&I at Nvidia.

“Through our collaboration with Dell Technologies and TD SYNNEX, the new AI labs in Germany, France and the UK, will help businesses accelerate their AI adoption, drive new discoveries, and build the foundation for a more intelligent future.”
