Foxconn/NVIDIA: Build factories & systems for AI revolution

Foxconn joins forces with NVIDIA to collaborate on building factories and systems to drive the AI industrial revolution

Unveiled At Hon Hai Tech Day 2023, Foxconn’s global partner NVIDIA took to the stage alongside Foxconn Chairman and CEO Young Liu to outline how the two will partner over the coming years. 

“A new type of manufacturing has emerged – the production of intelligence, and the data centres that produce them are AI factories. Foxconn, the world’s largest manufacturer, has the expertise and scale to build AI factories globally. We are delighted to expand our decade-long partnership with Foxconn to accelerate the AI industrial revolution,” said NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang.

“Most importantly, NVIDIA and Foxconn are building these factories together. We will be helping the whole industry move much faster into the new AI era,” said Foxconn Chairman and CEO Young Liu.

How will Foxconn work with NVIDIA?

During a fireside discussion the two Founders discuss some of the ways in which their businesses will work together, including the creation of AI Factories based on the NVIDIA accelerated computing platform, including the latest NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper™ Superchip and NVIDIA AI Enterprise software.

Kickstarting the collaboration with AI factories, the partnership doesn’t stop there, the two will also be working on  Foxconn will also tap into the NVIDIA Omniverse™ platform and Isaac and Metropolis frameworks alongside its customers in order to meet the strict production and quality standards of the electronics industry.

Finally Foxconn with also work with NVIDIA to deliver a range of NVIDIA DRIVE™ solutions to automakers, stating that it will serve as “a tier-one manufacturer of NVIDIA DRIVE Orin™-based electronic control units (ECUs) today and scaling to NVIDIA DRIVE Thor-based ECUs in the future.”
