Electrolux: Setting Standards for Manufacturing Recycling

Electrolux Group has set a bold new target in its latest sustainability report—raising recycled steel and plastic in its products to 35% by 2030.
This ambition nearly doubles the previous share of recycled materials and sets a fresh benchmark for sustainable manufacturing across the industry.
"As a sustainability leader, we will continue to push ourselves and the industry to adopt even bolder sustainability commitments," said Elena Breda, Chief Technology & Sustainability Officer at Electrolux Group.
"I am very proud that we have set the target as an industry first. It will help us drive our company's circularity agenda through the increased use of recycled steel and plastics in our products."
Broader focus on recycled content
Electrolux Group has expanded its sustainability ambitions beyond recycled plastics to include its two most used materials by weight: steel and plastic.
With steel now in scope, the updated target covers over 40% of all materials the group purchases, tripling the range of the previous goal.
The combined weight of recycled steel and plastic now aimed for surpasses the total volume under the former plastics-only commitment.
