For small manufacturing businesses, administrative and accounting tasks can take up significant time.

Intuit Assist, a generative AI-powered tool, can give intelligent and personalised recommendations within QuickBooks.

Sasan Goodarzi, Chief Executive Officer of Intuit, said: "It spots potential cash flow shortages in real-time and suggests personalised solutions like applying for a line of credit through QuickBooks Capital."

How Intuit QuickBooks is used in manufacturing

QuickBooks can be used in manufacturing to automate financial statements, spot trends and track payments.

Manufacturers must keep track of overall costs on materials, labour and shipping, which can change on a regular basis.

Intuit’s QuickBooks’ software automatically updates product cost when components like materials are changed.

Inventories can also be monitored by the QuickBooks system using mobile barcode scanning to pick, receive and update product count.

This allows manufacturers to locate a specific pallet or section of the warehouse automatically.

Through one singular device,  warehouse staff can be notified about pick instructions, shipping labels can be printed and deliveries can be tracked.

Success with Intuit QuickBooks

Intuit QuickBooks says it aims to serve businesses of any size and industry, from sole traders to small and medium businesses.

Working with Xenex Healthcare Services, Intuit Quickbooks system brought a 600% increase in revenue without adding a new supply chain or financial staff.

In July 2025, Intuit  revealed how it helped Kimberley Manufacturing with struggles around manual, paper-heavy workflows.

It says that its integration allowed Kimberley to move from five staff to two and free up more than 25% additional time.
