Cognite & Microsoft Webinar: Watch Now On-Demand

With sustainability being at the forefront for manufacturing leaders, many have set aggressive goals to reduce their environmental footprint.

Defining such goals, manufacturers are now challenged with identifying the actions and technologies needed to reduce waste, resource consumption and emissions.

“It is becoming more to the forefront across not just the manufacturing industry, but the energy industry and other verticals we operate in. There are some clear trends, and I think a really important point about these trends is that they are accelerating much fast than anyone anticipated. Here I am primarily talking about regulatory pressure and societal pressure. When I talk to different clients we are engaged with across the world, the anticipation of this trend was a lot less than what is actually realised in the market,” said Paula Doyle, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Cognite.

“I see a lot of our customers facing this pressure from multiple angles with regards to their sustainability performance [...] public sentiment is demanding much much more responsibility from our manufacturing organisations, and this pressure really cascades through the supply chain and reaches B2B companies as well,” added Christoph Pawlowski Senior Industry Executive, Manufacturing Industries, Microsoft Western Europe.
