How Dragos Protects Factories From Costly Cyberattacks

Manufacturing saw more cyberattacks than any other industry in 2025, according to IBM. 

With operational technology (OT) and IT converging, these companies can have a range of vulnerabilities and disruption can have costly impacts. 

Since its inception in 2016, Dragos has taken its industrial cybersecurity solutions into more than 500 companies.

The company has been named a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for CPS Protection Platforms for two consecutive years.

What is Dragos?

Standard cybersecurity solutions look to protect information technology (IT) systems, including data and servers.

Dragos focuses on OT, protecting software and hardware in key industrial equipment.

From power grids to robotic systems, Dragos’ infrastructure aims to protect the technologies that keep factories running from cyberattacks.

Dragos offers its security systems to manufacturers across the world to help tackle threats from ransomware.

According to the Dragos 2025 OT Cybersecurity Report, more than 1,100 manufacturing organisations were hit by ransomware over the year.

In 2025, the average cost of an individual cyber attack for UK manufacturers was £330,000 (US$440,282) according to the UK Department of Science, Innovation and Technology. 

With Dragos, companies can respond to threats rapidly, potentially decreasing the impact that attacks have on production.

In June 2026, Accenture made a significant investment in cybersecurity by acquiring a US$3.25bn majority stake in Dragos

This agreement combines its threat detection systems with software supply chains and asset discovery to help secure major infrastructure. 

The company has worked with Boston Beer Company to help the manufacturer maintain its systems and expand its OT environment.

Dragos says that its platform proved to be a success and secured 100% ROI in its first year of investment.

In January 2023, Dragos partnered with Amazon Web Services to become its first Partner with Competency designation in the OT security sector.
