bp creates manufacturing jobs

bp has interests in renewable energy and this week, the Empire Wind offshore wind project of Equinor ASA and bp has received approval from the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Empire Wind will build two offshore wind facilities, totalling 147 wind turbines, situated south of Long Island, New York, and east of Long Branch, New Jersey. 

“Under President Biden’s leadership, the American offshore wind industry is continuing to expand rapidly - creating good-paying union jobs across the manufacturing, shipbuilding and construction sectors", said Deb Haaland, Interior Secretary. “Today’s approval of the sixth offshore wind project adds to the significant progress towards our Administration’s clean energy goals.”

 

AI can boost manufacturers productivity & support innovation

bp has become a launch partner for Copilot for Microsoft 365, a cloud-based service which integrates the Microsoft 365 ecosystem using AI and natural language processing, in order to automate a range of mundane daily tasks. bp’s employees to boost productivity, upskill, enhance business performance and support innovation.

Sustainable manufacturing at bp

At Manufacturing Digital LIVE, a free virtual event on Wednesday 6th December 2023, the subject of sustainability in manufacturing will be explored by bp’s Ulrich Angeli, CPO Germany, Refining & Manufacturing at bp. 

Ulrich Angeli is a procurement leader with more than two decades of experience in the industry. Angeli has held C-suite roles in many of the world’s leading manufacturers, such as General Electric, Siemens and 3M.

Taking to the virtual stage Angeli will provide a thought-provoking sustainability keynote. During his session, Angeli will share insights on the importance of balancing performance and transformation in achieving sustainable business practices. 

Angeli will also deep dive into how bp is driving positive change through strategic procurement strategies and embracing innovative solutions.
