10. Salwa Salah

EATC Egyptian Automotive & Trading Co. Volkswagen & Audi Egypt

Salwa Salah

Salwa Salah is the Human Resources Manager at EATC Egyptian Automotive & Trading Co., a subsidiary of Volkswagen & Audi Egypt. 

She started this role in November 2018, after securing a degree in accounting from Cairo University and working at Volkswagen for 27 years.

Igazeuma Okoroba

Igazeuma Okoroba is a business woman, sustainability enthusiast and sociologist who has worked across manufacturing, energy, telecommunications, the media and civil society. Igazeuma has a Master's degree in Sustainable Development from the University of Exeter and a PhD in Development Sociology from the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria. Outside of her work, Igazeuma writes non-fiction and academic pieces. She is a Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB) member of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). 

At the manufacturing company Dangote Cement, she manages the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors across several African countries.

8. Naveena Shastri

SABIC is a diversified chemical manufacturer, based in Saudi Arabia. Naveena Shastri joined the company in Riyadh in 2017 as Vice President and General Counsel. She was promoted to Executive Vice President & General Counsel in 2024.

In this position, she runs the legal, compliance and corporate governance functions across the world and offers legal counsel to the executive leadership team at SABIC. 

She read Law at the University of Cambridge, 1987 - 1989, followed by another two years studying Law at Harvard University.

7. Doaa (Germmine) Abd El hameed

The Egyptian Ethylene & Derivatives Company, known as ETHYDCO, manufactures plastic and rubber products. It is one of the biggest petrochemical companies in MEA. 

As the Head of Research and Development, Doaa analyses the production rate in order to increase workplace efficiency. Her studies at Alexandria University resulted in a BSC in Chemical Engineering and an MSC in Chemical Engineering.

6. Hala Bassiouni

Ezz Steel is one of the fastest growing steel manufacturers in MEA. With its steelmaking plants across Egypt, Ezz Steel has the capacity to create seven million tonnes of steel each year.

Hala Bassiouni joined Ezz Steel as Group Corporate Treasury Director in 2015, with over 30 years of experience in corporate banking, retail, risks and restriction. Hala ranked at #52 on Forbes Magazine’s 100 ‘Most Powerful Arab Women for 2014’. She holds two degrees in Economics from the American University in Cairo and is a member of the Dean’s Strategic Advisory Board (SAB). She is also Non-Executive Board Member of the Egyptian Arab Land Bank (EALB).

Nampak is Africa’s largest packaging and containers manufacturer, which runs operations in several African countries and manufactures packaging in a range of options, including metal, glass, paper and plastic. 

Omeshnee joined Nampak in 2017 as a Senior Legal Advisor. Then in 2023 she was appointed as the Interim Company Secretary of Nampak Limited and Nampak Products Limited. She was also appointed to the Group Executive Committee.

4. Moumita Khanra Bidco Africa

Bidco Africa is one of the largest manufacturers of vegetable oils, fats, margarine, soaps and detergents in East Africa and is dedicated to supporting women's empowerment.

Moumita is an experienced sales and marketing professional, having built up experience working in India, Thailand and Kenya in banking, fintech, market research and of course, manufacturing.

3. Olajumoke Agbelusi Philip Morris International

Tobacco manufacturer PMI is working on building a smoke-free future by manufacturing cigarettes as well as products outside of the nicotine sector, such as vapes. 

Olajumoke joined the PMI team as Director of Manufacturing in South Africa in 2021. She specialises in manufacturing excellence, process optimisation, continuous improvement and transformation.

“My mission is to build a career in global supply chain leadership in an organisation offering opportunities for personal contribution, professional growth and value to the society,” she said.

Saudi Arabian petrochemical manufacturer Petro Rabigh is jointly owned by Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical. It manufactures a variety of petrochemical products, which include items including ethylene and polyethylene, as well as refined products, such as gasoline and diesel. The company manufactures products for the automotive, construction and textile industries.

Laura Carreño is the Architectural Designer at Petro Rabigh, a role which she brings in her experiences from across her previous roles at NMD Nomadas, Metropolitan Group c.A and Tivenca.

Sarah Qazi

Unilever operates across the world, bringing daily items to its billions of daily consumers. Unilever produces household names, such as Lipton, Knorr, Dove, Axe, Hellmann’s and Ben & Jerry’s.

At the end of 2023, Sarah Qazi joined as Business Head Home Care Arabia at Unilever, in a career that spans over 15 years. Sarah is strongly passionate about promoting women's empowerment and currently heads a highly skilled, all-female marketing team at Unilever.
