Revolutionising manufacturing with data strategies at CGI

Coen Huesmann leads the manufacturing team at global IT and Consulting company CGI. Within that, he’s focusing on helping CGI’s manufacturing clients to improve manufacturing processes and digitise manufacturing processes. 

“I lead CGI’s manufacturing team in the Netherlands. We help our clients to improve their manufacturing processes, so we're in the heart of the factory, helping to select, implement and support systems to optimise manufacturing processes;

“We're doing a lot on the cutting edge between production, quality, logistics and maintenance and finding people with the right profiles to help our clients go from reactive maintenance to predictive maintenance to even prescriptive maintenance.”

At CGI, Huesmann’s proudest achievement has been the company’s growth. 

“I started three years ago, at the start of the pandemic. One big challenge we had at that moment was that I had to get to know my team from video calls! We’ve built that team to almost 90 people now across the Netherlands, with the connected team in India. We managed to grow the team together, despite the circumstances.”
