Manufacturers are being urged to get a share of a £700,000 cash pie – the amount the Manufacturing Advisory Service still has to give away in grants and funding to firms in the North West of England.

MAS has already stumped up £2million in funding to companies in the region but with money still left in the pot is keen to ensure that those in need know about it.

On June 25, MAS will be hosting Manufacturing Matters North West 2014 following on from the success of the first conference held last September and as part of the International Festival of Business’ Manufacturing, Science and Technology week.

The event is aimed at showcasing the support and financing available to manufacturers and MAS directors are keen to encourage companies to come forward and see how it can help them.

It will take place at the AJ Bell Stadium in Salford and is free to attend for manufacturers.

Richard Jeffery, Director of MAS Business Growth Hub, has been reported saying: “We would really encourage companies to come forward to see how we can help, whether they need funding for NPD or tooling or if they are looking to explore new markets in the UK or overseas.”
