AMS, formerly ANCA Manufacturing Solutions has announced two new factories in Thailand, as the manufacturer expands to produce EV technologies

ANCA Manufacturing Solutions (AMS) is opening its fourth and fifth factories in Thailand after major growth. This comes as the manufacturer pursues expansion into renewables, energy storage and electric vehicles. AMS is part of the global ANCA Group, headquartered in Bayswater North, Victoria, Australia that celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

AMS rebranded from ANCA Sheet Metal Solutions last year, to reflect its movement from specialising in contract metal fabrication to providing a broader range of manufacturing offerings, including supply chain solutions and electromechanical services.

AMS’s vertical integration has also allowed them to provide specialised manufacturing solutions like complete mechatronic assemblies, which incorporate enclosures and printed circuit boards. The company also simplifies supply chain requirements for customers by managing local suppliers in their native language.

Nicholas Doyle, the General Manager of AMS

“For our customers, we are providing a total assembly solution, sourcing components from reputable suppliers across Asia, providing storage and global distribution of finished goods, and taking the complications and headaches away from the customer,” commented Nicholas Doyle, the General Manager of AMS.

“Allowing them to focus on the tasks they do best, normally creative product design and marketing, leaving us to do what we do best, everything else.”

AMS’s location, the Rayong province of Thailand is a significant operating area for global automotive manufacturers like Mazda, BMW and Ford along with their supply chain networks. Often called “The Detroit of The East.” Rayong province provides access to a pool of skilled workers and assists in efficient supply chain and logistics management.

Nicholas credits the Thai Board of Investment for enhancing the skills of the Thai workforce and attracting world-class manufacturing businesses. The Thai Board of Investment has also boosted AMS’s EV manufacturing, through providing tailored support to the sector.

The manufacturer is actively expanding partnerships within the ESG sector and is involved in manufacturing battery boxes for EVs, charging stations and grid storage batteries. AMS has the ability to locally assemble complete battery systems and boost national and global sustainability efforts.
