Arni Sigurdsson

Job From: Chief Strategy Officer, Marel

Job To: CEO, Marel

"The board and I are confident that Sigurdsson has the skill set and experience needed," says Arnar Thor Masson, Chairman of Marel.

Processing equipment manufacturer Marel has appointed Arni Sigurdsson as Chief Executive Officer. He has held the role of Interim CEO since November. Sigurdsson has an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and BSc in Industrial Engineering from the University of Iceland.

Sigurdsson joined Marel in 2014 as Head of Strategy before taking up the role of Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President Strategic Business Units. He was made Chief Business Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Marel in November 2022. 

Before joining the company, Sigurdsson worked at AGC Partners and Landsbanki Islands.

“I have had the pleasure of working alongside Arni over a number of years during which he has held various important leadership roles across our business, most recently the Interim CEO position during an uncertain period for the company, which he has managed well,” Marel chairman Arnar Thor Masson adds.

John Bone

2. John Bone

Job From: Chair,the North East Space Leadership Group

Job To: Chief Commercial Officer, Orbex

John Bone is the new Chief Commercial Officer of Orbital launch services company Orbex. The business is preparing for the launch of Orbex Prime, the UK mainland’s first vertical rocket launch. Bone has 20 years of experience in the Space Industry.

Scott Thompson

3. Scott Thompson

Job From: Vice President, Mobility, KINTO Europe

Job To: President and Managing Director, Toyota GB

Scott Thompson is the new President and Managing Director of Toyota (GB).

“I look forward to taking the reins as we negotiate the challenges and opportunities of the new era of electrified mobility,” he says.

Previously, Thompson was Vice President, Mobility, at KINTO Europe and CEO of Lexus in Australia. 

Celeste Mastin

4. Celeste Mastin

Job From: CEO, PetroChoice

Job To: Board of Directors, The National Association of Manufacturers

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) announced that Celeste Mastin is the new NAM Board of Directors. Mastin is also President and CEO of H.B. Fuller, the biggest pure play adhesives company in the world. The NAM was founded in 1895 and is the largest industrial trade association in the USA, with more than 14,000 members.

Jason Anderson

5. Jason Anderson

Job From: President, Enovis 

Job To: CEO, SteriPack Group

Jason Anderson is the new CEO of SteriPack Group. Prior to this, Anderson worked in various senior roles at McKinsey and BASF.

“We are pleased to have Jason join us in what we believe will be the most dynamic period of growth in our history,” says David Lennon, Chair of SteriPack.

Graeme Nieman

6. Graeme Nieman

Job From: Head of Motor Product Partnerships, Correlation Risk Partners

Job To: CEO, AutoProtect Group

In May 2022, Graeme Nieman joined AutoProtect Group as an Interim CEO, a role which has now been made permanent. With his broad range of experiences and contacts across motor manufacturing and his understanding of the automotive industry, Nieman was the best candidate for the job.
