TCS: Accelerating AI-Powered Aviation & Defence

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the global leader in IT services, consulting and business solutions has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art delivery centre in Toulouse, France.
This facility will boost the company's growth and investments in aerospace, manufacturing and defence.
By harnessing next-gen technologies like AI, machine learning and data analytics, TCS plans to enhance business operations for its European customers.
With next-generation technologies such as AI, Gen AI, machine learning (ML) and data analytics, TCS plans to enhance business operations for its European customers.
The new centre will help clients in the aerospace sector optimise aircraft design, manufacturing and maintenance processes.
It is strategically located in Blagnac, near Toulouse Airport, positioning TCS closer to its aerospace customers, and is the companyâs fourth delivery centre in France, following sites in Lille, Poitiers and Paris-Suresnes.
The site will serve as a hub for innovation and AI-driven transformation, aiming to address critical challenges in the aerospace industry, such as fuel efficiency, advanced materials for lighter aircraft and predictive maintenance solutions.
These innovations are designed to improve aircraft safety, reduce downtime and, ultimately, enhance the passenger experience.
âThis new centre embodies TCS' commitment to driving future-ready manufacturing within the aerospace industry," says Anupam Singhal, President - Manufacturing, TCS.
"By harnessing the power of AI and our deep domain expertise we aim to achieve new heights of efficiency, sustainability and innovation.
"Together, we are not just shaping the future of aircraft production but enabling future-ready skies.â
A long-term commitment to French aviation
TCS has been present in France for more than 30 years, working closely with major European businesses, including CAC 40 companies, and supporting their digital transformation efforts.
The companyâs consistent track record in delivering value and innovation has strengthened its position as a trusted partner in the region.
In recent years, TCS has significantly ramped up its investments in France, expanding its skilled workforce and planning to double its regional talent base.
This expansion is not just a business strategy but also a reflection of TCSâ long-term commitment to the French economy.
The delivery centre in Toulouse will play a vital role in supporting TCSâ recruitment efforts in the region. Leveraging the local talent pool and academic partnerships, the facility is set to become a key driver for the companyâs future growth.
TCS has already established collaborations with leading French educational institutions, such as PĂ´le LĂŠonard de Vinci and EPITA, to foster the development of skilled professionals who can thrive in an increasingly digital world.
The company is a certified Top Employer in France, demonstrating its dedication to talent development and creating a positive work environment for its employees.
The 'glocal' approach
The opening of the Toulouse delivery centre forms part of TCSâ broader strategy of maintaining a âglocalâ approach, which combines local engagement with global capabilities.
By replicating the success of its previous delivery hubs in Lille, Poitiers and Paris, TCS aims to strengthen its relationships with customers in the aerospace sector and other industries.
The approach ensures that the company can respond to the unique needs of local markets while providing the full scope of its global expertise.
In 2024, TCS was ranked first in customer satisfaction for the sixth consecutive year in an independent survey conducted by Whitelane Research, underscoring its ability to consistently meet the needs of its clients and deliver high-quality services.
Clients including Air France-KLM, United Airlines and Singapore Airlines have all successfully modernised operations with TCS.
As TCS continues to grow in France and across Europe, the new Toulouse delivery centre will be instrumental in furthering its mission to drive digital innovation and provide cutting-edge solutions to businesses in various sectors.
The opening of this new facility is another milestone in TCSâ long-standing partnership with Franceâs aerospace industry and its broader commitment to innovation and growth in the region.
By combining advanced technologies with local expertise, TCS is poised to make a significant impact on the future of aerospace and related industries in Europe.
âOur âglocalâ model, combining proximity with key industrial players and cutting-edge international expertise, is a real asset," adds Rammohan Gourneni, Country Head for France at TCS.
"This new centre of excellence, a real catalyst for growth for our long-term strategy in France, brings together the best local talent and mobilises the entire international know-how of our group to offer sharp advice and flawless project execution to aerospace players.
"More than an expertise centre, it is an engine of opportunities for engineers in the region, offering them dynamic and stimulating career prospects in an international environment.
"We aim to significantly invest in technologies, partnership and local talent to contribute to the development of an excellent aerospace industry, here in France.â
