Honeywell's Batch Historian is a software digitisation solution that gives manufacturers a contextualised data history for advanced reporting and analytics

As the manufacturing sector undergoes increasing digital transformation, with technologies like AI and IIoT taking on a growing role in enhancing processes, data remains the key to proactive, intelligent planning and decision-making.

A fact which Honeywell demonstrates its awareness of, with the release of its innovative Batch Historian.

The newly announced software solution provides users access to their contextualised data history for superior analytics and reporting.

Honeywell as a global manufacturer understands the pivotal importance of data to the sector today, developing Batch Historian to support the food & beverage, pulp & paper, speciality chemicals, life sciences, materials, metals and mining industries.

The software is a standalone application that can be either delivered as a module on the Manufacturing Excellence Platform (MXP), or made available as a standard part of every Experion Batch system.

Manufacturers using Honeywell can leverage historic data insights for more cost-effective and efficient operations.

Honeywell Batch Historian enables manufacturers to directly capture data with context from batch engines - with zero complex configuration.

This addresses a common hurdle manufacturers face when analysing data, a lack of batch visualisation, which impedes their ability to expand data usage to advanced applications.

The Batch Historian also eliminates any need for a detailed historian database to develop reports or advanced programming skills, through a straightforward drag-and-drop tile style interface.

Manufacturers can simplify troubleshooting and enhance process efficiency through the Batch Historian, improving productivity, product quality and overall operations. Complying with strict industry reporting regulations will be significantly easier with the solution’s simple, easy to use data and reporting features.

Shawn Opatka, Vice President and General Manager of Life Sciences at Honeywell Process Solutions

“Honeywell’s full suite of digital manufacturing technologies will help manufacturers improve product quality, regulatory compliance and overall efficiency in order to drive business outcomes,” said Shawn Opatka, Vice President and General Manager of Life Sciences at Honeywell Process Solutions.

“Our approach is modular and flexible, helping companies begin their digitalisation journey by adopting new technologies as they need them.”

Honeywell Batch Historian is making it easier for manufacturers than ever before to analyse, capture and use key data, empowering users to enhance processes, drive continuous improvement and make informed, intelligent decisions.
