Valeo Deploy Dassault Systèmes to Digitise Development
A new partnership between Valeo, a leader in global mobility technologies, and Dassault Systèmes, a 3D software development company, will accelerate the digital transformation of Valeo’s research and development endeavours.
This collaboration will harness the 3DEXPERIENCE “Smart, Safe & Connected” and “Global Module” platforms to transform manufacturing operations by connecting the virtual and real world.
Valeo’s goal is to leverage this technology to achieve safer and more sustainable mobility.
The partnership will connect 15,000 Valeo users across research and development, purchasing and manufacturing in a virtual ecosystem which harnesses data science and generative design capabilities.
In doing so, the 3DEXPERIENCE platform will optimise the company’s research and development expenses as well as contribute to the development of technology needed to create a more autonomous, electric, software-driven vehicle.
Pascal Daloz, Dassault Systèmes’ CEO, says “The automotive industry is highly competitive, and companies continually strive to address the imperative of sustainability and generate experiences that consumers love.
“We’re elevating our long partnership with Valeo to foster this spirit of innovation and further support its transformation to a tech company for the automotive industry,” Pascal continues.
“Creating new mobility usages and universes of experiences requires proven capabilities for styling, electrification and software-defined vehicles. Our 3DEXPERIENCE platform is this differentiator.
“It leverages the power of generative AI to connect models from science to data from experience, along the full lifecycle of the vehicle.”
The 3DEXPERIENCE platform will manage an increasing product complexity and ensure Valeo remains a leader in both software and hardware solutions for electrification and advanced driving assistance systems.
Valeo’s CEO, Christophe Périllat, is also excited for the partnership. “At Valeo, we are proud to be the key innovation partner of our clients."
“Our more than 20,000 engineers develop innovative solutions combining hardware and software and leveraging AI to make tomorrow’s mobility safer and more sustainable,” he continued.
“Thanks to our partnership with Dassault Systèmes, our teams will have more efficient solutions enabling digital continuity to support our world leading research and development activities.”
The partnership will boost innovation and enable Valeo to make informed decisions across manufacturing and development by leveraging both legacy and up-to-date intelligence from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
This model provides a promising, scalable case study for the digitisation of manufacturing and product development, which could be replicated across a range of industries.
