Theorem Solutions, the software solutions company, has developed a range of Visualisation Experience applications using the latest gaming graphics engines.

The applications optimise computer-aided design (CAD) data for interactive and immersive environments of Augmented, Mixed or Virtual Reality on devices.

3D gaming graphics and immersive gaming experiences are becoming involved with engineering by helping sole challenges within the industry.

By using graphic engines, most commonly used by game designers, as well as additional technologies, including motion capture, these CAD systems can be used to generate product designs.

The technology allows these designs to be heavy with information, allowing engineers, manufacturers, and their supply chains to view data such as dimensions, materials, and tolerances.

The current technology used within these industries are sufficient, but new discoveries have realised that CAD systems used for game design have surpassed them.

“Graphic engines used for gaming, such as Unity or Unreal, can be used to develop applications for engineering and manufacturing use cases,” commented Stuart Thurlby, CEO of Theorem.

“For example, gaming engines can offer better design software capabilities, for efficient 3D real-time rendering, simulation, gesture control and virtual environments.”
